Managing Director
Ben began his career at Protective Packaging Ltd in 2003, progressing through key roles in Customer Support, Quality, Production and Operations.
Appointed Managing Director in 2020, he also serves as CEO of our sister company 3D Barrier Bags Inc.®, based in the United States. Ben’s comprehensive experience across the business positions him to drive operational and commercial excellence and long-term growth. He has overseen the successful relocation and expansion of both companies into new facilities, focusing on optimising operations and supporting future growth.
Passionate about improving company culture, sustainability and community engagement, Ben ensures both companies remain committed to maintaining standards of excellence, innovation and responsible business practices.
Shane Davies
Operations Director
Shane joined Protective Packaging Ltd in November 2020 as an Operations Manager trainee, completing a comprehensive training plan across all departments to gain a deep understanding of the business. After progressing to Operations Manager, Shane took responsibility for strategic goals, cost reduction, performance improvement, and supporting new commercial projects to ensure future business growth.
In January 2024, he advanced to Operations Director, overseeing key initiatives such as relocating the business to a bespoke facility, developing a custom barrier foil zipper machine, installing solar panels, and contributing to the launch of the Phoenix, Arizona facility.
Sebastian Lingwood
Commercial Director
With over six years of experience in the packaging industry, Sebastian brings a diverse range of expertise to the role of Commercial Director. Having transitioned from the corporate world, Sebastian has thrived in the dynamic environment of the business, enjoying the ability to make a tangible impact on a day-to-day basis.
In the current role, Sebastian oversees all aspects of the business’s commercial operations, including sales, marketing, and customer support. Focused on driving profitability and sustainable growth, Sebastian remains dedicated to providing customer-centric solutions. By offering bespoke services tailored to each client’s unique needs, Sebastian aims to build long-lasting partnerships and deliver exceptional results.
Andrew Harding
Finance Director
Andrew joined Protective Packaging Ltd in 2017 as Financial Controller. With 20 years’ experience in Finance, he initially worked as a Purchase Ledger Assistant while undertaking his professional qualification. Andrew then progressed to become a Management Accountant and Finance Manager, before joining the company.
Working closely with key internal stakeholders Andrew quickly developed his knowledge of both Protective Packaging Ltd and our sister company 3D Barrier Bags Inc.® in the United States, and in November 2020 was appointed Finance Director.
While maintaining accounting standards and building a strong finance team his focus is to provide the Board and Commercial team with the analysis and reporting required to help deliver on company targets, objectives and future growth.
Jade Fahey
QHS Manager
Jade joined Protective Packaging Ltd in 2019 as Quality and Health & Safety Manager, bringing over 12 years of experience in Quality Management and 10 years in a GMP manufacturing environment. She upholds the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ensuring compliance across the business while leading a team of quality officers in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Previously serving as Production Manager and Quality Controller on MIA and MS licenses with the MHRA in a pharmaceutical repackaging and distribution company, Jade brings valuable expertise to the company, particularly in understanding the complexities faced by pharmaceutical customers. IOSH and NEBOSH certified, she also oversees health and safety systems, fostering compliance and promoting a culture of excellence throughout the organisation.
Nick Persich
Group Purchasing Manager
Nick joined Protective Packaging Ltd in 2018, bringing over 10 years experience in various supply chain roles including Supply Chain Co-ordination, Inventory Management and Procurement. Having worked primarily for manufacturers within the Food Industry, Nick is used to working within a fast pace environment and Protective Packaging is no different.
He values close collaboration with colleagues and suppliers to ensure seamless operations. Having worked through Brexit and the Covid-19 pandemic, he is no stranger to a supply chain challenge!
Gemma Millership
Commercial Manager
Gemma began her journey with Protective Packaging Ltd in 2020 as a Customer Support Advisor, bringing nine years of experience in the packaging industry. Her dedication led to her progression into leadership roles, first as Customer Support Team Leader and later as Customer Support Manager in 2022.
In July 2024, she stepped into her current role as Commercial Manager. In this capacity, Gemma drives business growth, manages key customer accounts, explores opportunities for company development, and reviews procedures striving for ongoing strategic improvements. A committed leader, she continues to support the commercial and customer support team, fostering exceptional service and cultivating long-term client success.
Josh Lynch
Customer Support Manager
Josh joined Protective Packaging Ltd in July 2024 to lead the customer support team. With over a decade of experience in customer-facing roles, Josh is skilled at building strong relationships with customers and ensuring their needs are met.
He actively listens to customer feedback, taking a proactive approach to enhance the customer experience and implement meaningful improvements. His dedication to delivering tailored solutions has consistently driven satisfaction and loyalty, making him a valuable asset to the team.
Caroline Davies
Strategic Business Development
Caroline joined Protective Packaging Ltd in August 2006 as Customer Support Manager, overseeing a team dedicated to meeting customer needs while managing a sales region and supporting direct sales activities. Over time, her role expanded to include strategic support for key accounts alongside the Commercial Director.
With her growing experience, Caroline contributed to training and mentoring less experienced team members. In 2020, she transitioned to a Strategic Sales role, focusing on identifying new business opportunities, building customer relationships, and driving development while maintaining her own sales region responsibilities.
Jean Pascal Laneyrie
FR & ES Commercial Director
With over a decade of experience at Protective Packaging Ltd, Jean-Pascal brings extensive knowledge of the company’s product range and a deep understanding of the specific requirements across various industries.
Fluent in French, Spanish, and English, Jean-Pascal combines a friendly yet professional approach with a methodical and rigorous work ethic. He is committed to providing customers with quick, clear, and concise responses to their enquiries, ensuring tailored solutions that meet their unique needs.
Oliver Law
Business Development Co-ordinator
Oli joined the Commercial Team in September 2025, bringing 11 years of experience in customer support and sales within a large corporate environment. His strong background in customer-facing roles has equipped him with a solid understanding of client needs and relationship building.
In his role as Business Development Coordinator at Protective Packaging Limited, he is responsible for identifying and researching new business opportunities, generating high-quality leads and supporting the wider commercial team in driving sustainable growth. This includes uncovering opportunities in both existing markets and new areas of potential expansion.
John Brook
Head of Production
John has been an integral part of Protective Packaging Ltd since 1989 and brings extensive expertise to his role as Head of Production. With experience working with barrier foils dating back to 1986, John possesses a deep understanding of the manufacturing processes involved in creating barrier foil liners for a wide range of applications.
His vast knowledge has supported customers in finding effective moisture protection solutions for their products, including safeguarding MOD helicopters, airplane fuselages, and radiation units for hospitals. He also oversees the production of the more standard protective products manufactured across our production line.
Helen Merrick
HR & Training Manager
Helen brings over 15 years of HR experience across sectors including retail, logistics, finance, and hospitality. Starting as an HR Administrator, she built her expertise through hands-on roles and earned her Level 7 CIPD qualification. At Protective Packaging Ltd, Helen is dedicated to attracting and developing the right talent to strengthen our team and support exceptional customer service. Her work has helped maintain low turnover and absence rates while fostering a culture of engagement and continuous development. Helen’s practical approach and strategic insight make her a key contributor to our people-first ethos and long-term success.
Peter Timkovic
Engineering Manager
Peter brings over 20 years of hands-on experience to Protective Packaging Ltd, having progressed from Machine Operator to Engineering Manager. His background in electrical/electronics engineering from Manchester’s weaving industry, combined with earlier experience in Slovakia’s wood processing sector, gives him a broad technical foundation. Peter leads lean initiatives and drives 5S implementation across engineering teams at both Protective Packaging and sister company 3D Barrier Bags Inc.®. He also developed a comprehensive Planned and Preventive Maintenance system, dramatically reducing machine downtime. His rare blend of shop floor expertise and strategic thinking continues to improve operational efficiency and add value for customers.
Andy Thompson
IT Manager
Andy brings over 31 years of IT experience to Protective Packaging Ltd, beginning his career in the British Army before moving into IT. He has worked with major companies like Nestlé UK and IBM, specialising in manufacturing IT. Since joining in 2004, Andy has led the company’s IT evolution, developing a custom ERP system and migrating to Microsoft Dynamics in both Protective Packaging Ltd and our sister company 3D Barrier Bags Inc.® in the United States. He holds qualifications including MCSE, CompTIA A+, and Network+. Andy oversees all IT operations, driving innovation, cybersecurity, and cloud adoption to maintain a secure and efficient infrastructure.
Nicola Pike
Marketing Manager
Nicola joined Protective Packaging Ltd as Marketing Manager in 2026, bringing more than 25 years of predominantly B2B marketing experience across financial services, professional services and higher education. CIM qualified, she combines strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach to campaign delivery, digital marketing, brand management and business development.
