Six Years Carbon Neutral — And Our Commitment Continues

Protecting Products. Reducing Waste. Looking Ahead.

For more than three decades, we have helped businesses protect products from the environmental conditions that can cause damage, degradation and waste.

Now, six consecutive years of Carbon Neutral accreditation reinforces our commitment to doing that responsibly.

We’re proud of what we’ve achieved — and even more focused on what comes next.

Six years Carbon Neutral.

And we’re just getting started.

Why Carbon Neutrality Matters

The environmental impact of manufacturing and global supply chains is an increasingly important consideration for businesses and their customers.

We recognise that our customers are looking for more than high-performance packaging. They also want to work with suppliers who share their commitment to responsible manufacturing and reducing environmental impact.

Our continued Carbon Neutral accreditation gives customers confidence that sustainability remains an active part of how we operate.

It also reflects our belief that protecting products and protecting the planet can work together.

By preventing moisture, corrosion and environmental damage, our barrier packaging helps customers protect valuable products throughout storage and transportation — reducing the waste, energy and resources associated with damaged or spoiled products.

Carbon Neutral for Six Consecutive Years

Our sixth consecutive year of Carbon Neutral accreditation demonstrates that our environmental commitment is long term.

Through the Carbon Neutral Britain programme, we continue to support verified carbon reduction projects that contribute to climate action and sustainable development around the world.

Projects supported through our carbon-neutral programme include initiatives such as:

  • Wind power in Maharashtra, India — generating renewable electricity and reducing reliance on fossil-fuel-based energy generation.
  • Household solar lighting in Zambia — providing cleaner lighting solutions to communities without reliable access to electricity.
  • Salkhit Wind Farm, Mongolia — generating renewable electricity for the Mongolian grid.
  • Methane capture and power generation in the Netherlands — capturing methane from agricultural waste and converting it into useful energy.

These projects demonstrate the importance of supporting practical solutions that reduce emissions while delivering wider environmental and social benefits.

Continuing our environmental commitment

Carbon neutrality is only one part of our wider environmental strategy.

We continue to look at how we can reduce the environmental impact of our own operations through:

  • ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management: Our ISO 14001:2015 accreditation recognises our structured approach to environmental management and continuous improvement.
  • Solar-Powered Operations: Our facility uses solar energy to supply a significant proportion of our operational electricity, helping reduce our reliance on conventional energy sources.
  • Renewable Energy Backup: Where additional electricity is required, we use green-certified renewable energy to further reduce the environmental impact of our operations.
  • Reducing Waste Through Better Protection: Sustainability isn’t only about how packaging is manufactured. It is also about what happens to the product it protects. Effective barrier packaging can help prevent corrosion, moisture damage, contamination and spoilage during storage and transportation. By reducing product losses, it can help customers avoid the environmental impact associated with replacing damaged products, remanufacturing components and disposing of spoiled materials.

Six Years Is a Milestone. Continuous Improvement Is the Goal.

We’re proud of reaching six consecutive years of Carbon Neutral accreditation, but we see it as part of an ongoing journey rather than a destination.

We will continue to look for opportunities to:

  • Reduce waste and improve operational efficiency
  • Increase the use of renewable energy
  • Improve our environmental management processes
  • Develop packaging solutions that help reduce product loss
  • Explore more sustainable material options where performance requirements allow
  • Work with customers to balance product protection, performance and environmental responsibility

Our approach is simple: measure, improve and keep moving forward.
