Incepted
Protective Packaging Ltd was incepted on 3rd November 1988 by its entrepreneurial founder Charles Lewis.
Accredited to BS5750
The foundation of our Quality driven ethos and the predecessor to ISO9001.
Relocated to Dane Road premises
On the 29th September 1991 Protective Packaging took occupation of the first of what was to eventually become three separate units on Dane Rd Industrial Estate in Sale, Cheshire.
Opened U.S. location
In March 2015 we officially opened the doors to our North American facility in Orlando, Florida.
Accredited to ISO 9001:2015
PPL demonstrated immediate compliance with the latest iteration of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Investment into a bespoke and unique machine enabling the automated manufacture of both 2D & 3D formats at our North American facility.

New zipper pouch machine at Carrington site

Solar panels installed
As part of our commitment to sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint, 531 state-of-the-art solar panels were installed on our building. We’re striving to make a positive difference to the world around us and this is the latest green milestone in our journey.
Opened a second U.S. facility
In December 2024, we expanded our U.S. operations by opening a 22,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Chandler, Arizona.
